As I sit here exploring the world of web site building, I found out that a little blog is available.  Neat.  I've never been a blogger before, but with the launch of this new website, why not throw it in there.  Here's a place where we can post our thoughts and things that we probably wouldn't post on social media.

Building a new website has actually been a question in my mind.  Since the band played our last show, we've all gone in different directions - and in a very "absence makes the heart grow fonder" kind of way, I think we've also realized how important this band was to us.  That's why we are coming back - at least with our presence online.  I mean seriously, just because the band isn't playing shows every weekend doesn't mean we don't exist or didn't write the music.  The entity that is ESITU is still very much alive.  Maybe on life support.  But alive nonetheless.

But with all the social media - availability - why even build a website again?  Well - I guess any online enterprise would tell you that you need to have a place where people can go that is truly and directly to you.  And since that's more or less what music is in the 21st century (online enterprises), it makes sense.  It's just a matter of what we can put here that is special and unique.

So why not a blog right?

Well - for my first post I'm going to answer a question that hasn't been asked... but I'm sure will be.  Where did esitu.com go and why is it now esituband.com?

Well - because we are stupid and weren't forward thinking enough to keep renewing esitu.com after we broke up.  And much to our dismay - some asshole website resellers gobbled it up and are now trying to sell it back to us for over $3000.

So they can fuck right off, and now we are esituband.com.  I hope nobody ever buys that site from them and they lose money forever on it.

So that's my first blog post.  Working on a ton off stuff right now for the band to get it back up and running so all you folks who have continued to support and listen can actually have a full fledged work of labor and love to follow.  If you are going to follow, it's worth it to us to put some effort in as well.
